We create spaces that make people want to stay longer and come back sooner.

studiospillane works across aviation, hospitality and hotel environments with clients who understand that great design can shape experience, support operations and drive real business results.

Interior design is more than a beautiful space. It is a business advantage.

studiospillane is a Brisbane-based commercial interior design studio working across aviation, hospitality, hotel and public-facing commercial environments.

We design spaces that are beautiful, useful, operationally resolved and commercially effective. Our work brings together human experience, practical delivery, commercial understanding and sustainability in practice.

As a small studio, we offer direct senior involvement, clear communication and a calm, collaborative process. We work with clients who value thoughtful design, clear thinking and long-term relationships.

Approximately 80% of our work comes from repeat clients, reflecting the strength of our enduring partnerships and the trust built through working together over many years.

Our work is focused through three connected areas of expertise:

Aviation, hospitality and hotels, and sustainability in practice.

Aviation

We design aviation environments that support passenger experience, operational flow, commercial performance and a strong sense of place.

Our work spans terminal interiors, airport hospitality, airport retail, tenancy design, leasing support and retail design management, with a focus on creating inclusive, durable and memorable spaces for passengers, staff and operators.

Good aviation design can reduce stress, improve flow, support operations and create a stronger connection between airports and the communities they serve.

Hospitality and hotels

We design hospitality, hotel and public-facing commercial environments that balance guest experience, operational efficiency and business outcomes.

From restaurants, cafés and clubs to hotel common areas, member spaces, social enterprise venues and commercial precincts, our work considers how people arrive, dwell, gather, dine, work, celebrate and return.

We create spaces that are welcoming, commercially useful, operationally resolved and grounded in sustainability in practice.

Sustainability in practice

Sustainability is part of the way we brief, design, specify and deliver.

We approach sustainability through practical decisions that reduce waste, extend the life of existing assets and support better long-term outcomes.

We prioritise adaptive reuse, refurbishment before replacement, Australian-made furniture, local sourcing, durable materials, recycled content, modularity, repairability and design for defit.

Our projects sit across aviation, hospitality and hotels, sustainability in practice, and public-facing commercial interiors.

Each project is different, but our approach remains consistent: we create environments that support people, strengthen operations and respond carefully to place, context and long-term use.

Who we work with

We work with clients of different scales, from major asset owners and airport corporations to hotel groups, hospitality operators, developers, project managers and community-focused organisations.

Many of our strongest client relationships span multiple projects and many years. Repeat business is the best endorsement.

What studiospillane do differently is that they make the process very easy and clear for us. Nothing is ever too hard, and they are always happy to look for alternative solutions.
