Working with the iconic Tattersall's Building always requires a sympathetic approach - paying tribute to its long history, while sensitively reviving and updating spaces to better suit its modern membership base. This project in particular is a thoughtful refurbishment to the pool and gym spaces, which formed part of the 1994 extension by Robin Gibson Architects.

In the refreshed Health & Wellness Centre, the reception and entry foyer, amenities and change spaces, state-of-the-art gym and new yoga & pilates studio combine to create a comprehensive centre for members to workout, relax and recharge.

The design exudes warmth, comfort and understated luxury. Blackbutt timber pays homage to the heritage building's timber paneling and immediately establishes a calm and inviting atmosphere. It's paired with neutral tones, timeless materials, thoughtful details and smoothly functional features that deliver a fitting level of sophistication for Tattersall's Club.
