In 2019 we were commissioned in collaboration with GroupGSA to create a concept for the upgrade of the terminal’s domestic facilities. This project became a master plan for the terminal that can be rolled out in multiple stages.

The first phase was delivered in 2022, as part of the Regional Airport Security Infrastructure scheme, and included upgraded check-in facilities and new security screening measures to comply with the updated federal requirements.

The intention with the terminal generally is to use local materials, celebrate local culture, and introduce civic pride into the terminal environment.
