‘Your New Health & Wellness Centre’
Your Tattler Magazine | Spring 2024 issue
The doors to Tattersall’s Club Health & Wellness Centre have re-opened, revealing a dynamic space that has quickly become a new favourite of Members.
The Health & Wellness Centre was closed for renovation earlier this year, ready for a physical overhaul and a commitment to a 360-degree focus on Members’ needs.
The results are stunning with training space that has almost doubled, new premium exercise machines that take workouts to a different level, top-quality finishes in locker rooms, an ice bath and a studio.
“We were very pleased with the design and the construction and looked forward to what Members would make of it as they’re the most important audience,” Health & Wellness Centre Manager Gareth Hall said.
“When the lift doors opened and people walked into the new space, you could see their jaws drop. They were really impressed and that was so pleasing because this is a space that can really make a difference in the lives of our Members.
“We are a gym with a 360-degree approach to wellness. That’s what drove the design and the building of this new centre.
“We’re happy to help develop workouts for Members on our new machines that can also talk to them through an app. And we’re just as happy discuss sleep, diet and even providing the likes of hearing checks to ensure that we can help in any facets that lead to improved wellness for Members’.
Mr Hall said Members could take advantage of the new premium ‘technogym’ technology that transforms workouts. Centre staff can help Members to design workouts that synchronise with phones and smartwatches through the use of an app.
That helps Members to understand more about their workouts and how much benefit they’re receiving every time they’re in the two-level Health & Wellness Centre.
Fitness classes including pilates, yoga, boxing and swimming are held in the centre or new studio.
One element of the new Centre remains unchanged - the 25-metre heated swimming pool that has served as a recovery base for the likes of Queensland’s State of Origin and international rugby teams.
Alongside it now is a permanent ice bath with water between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius, proving popular with Members.
“We’ve created a space that enables our Members to unwind, to improve their wellness and to feel relaxed and at home in the midst if the CBD,” Mr Hall said.
“We’ve looked after many different elements including personal service that extends to personal locker hire, a gym kit laundry service and complimentary towels.
“Members tell us how much they look forward to their visit, and we look forward to helping them on their fitness journey,”
The Health & Wellness Centre has long focused on a wider look at the way Members approach their lives.
Their Wellness Series talks have been inspired by the global TEDx talks. Members gather with some of Brisbane’s top health professionals to discuss a range of wellness topics that have included sleep, posture, preventative health, hearing, diet and the immune system.
“We cater for Members across different ages but this focus on wider health ensures that there is something that can benefit everyone, “ Mr Hall said.
