The Concierge at
Tattersall’s Club
Tattersall’s Club has undergone a major facelift across the membership spaces since 2020. The ground level concierge was the first project of this refresh and offers a new look front door to the community.

THE BRIEF
The Club needed an update to their entry experience and to open up the small reception space. The existing reception area was constructed as part of the 1990s building extension, and ground floor retail mall. It needed to be contemporised, whilst retaining the base layer of finishes and tying back to the general feeling of Tattersall’s Club upstairs.
OUR APPROACH
We worked with the Club to simplify the floor plan and flow – so that members approach directly towards the concierge desk and small waiting area contained to the side.
THE RESULTS
The intervention is simple but effective, improving flow and feeling like a part of the original building. We retained the green marble floors and lift cladding, adding new a white marble reception counter and panels at the lift, with new timber joinery referencing the heritage areas of the Club upstairs.
SUSTAINABILITY
Rather than completely removing all existing finishes from the space, we retained the iconic green marble and the position of the front door and shopfront. We clad new materials and joinery over the top of the existing stone to create the required changes.
