Gather Bistro: 'a brasserie in a park'.

Positioned on the ground floor of a new tower on Brisbane's Ann Street, we wanted Gather to naturally attract passersby, and take the shape of an inviting space that glows from within.

This is immediately achieved by the glass-wrapped shopfront, which establishes a welcoming presence and offers views deep into the space from outside. A takeaway coffee outlet positioned closest to the street serves as a convenient stop-off for city-goers, and transitions into the à la carte restaurant and bar as you move further into the tenancy.

Inside, the spaces are surrounded by lush internal garden beds and external landscaping. This greenery is complemented by natural materials, warm lighting and peachy tones; particularly the tiled counter that wraps the entire kitchen area. The result is a mellow, moody dining atmosphere that feels nestled in nature, carefully balancing connection - to the city street and to landscaping - with a comfortable sense of seclusion.
